So many of us don’t have the time or energy to do the rigorous amount of exercise required to lose weight as quickly as we’d like, and so often we turn to fad diets. As a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, I’ve pretty much heard of every diet there is, but as I tell my clients over and over again that if a diet plan sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So starting today I want all of you to steer clear of any quick weight loss programs that promote pills, laxatives, fasting, as well as any that promise weight loss faster than 3+ pounds per week.
The truth is that cutting calories below 1,200 per day is very counterproductive, because you need strong muscles to be able to exercise effectively, and by increasing your lean muscles this will in turn assist you in buring more calories even at rest!
